This wild dog was really inquisitive, he was so close that if you look at its eye you can see the game viewer I was in reflected. They are such beautiful animals!

This old truck is rusting away near Outjo in Namibia. its nice to have a non living subject for once so that I could play around with different ideas without it running off. This is probably one of my best photos

We got really lucky in Botswana and got to see a pride of lions eating a buffalo carcass at sunset. I hope I did it justice as the conditions were so perfect that it was hard not to take a great photo. We were really close, the light was great and they were completely calm.

A Lake Mburo hippo proudly defending his pond. He was really showing off which made getting a good photo of him really easy.

This daggaboy was part of a group who were cooling off in Lake Mburo just before sunset. Apparently they dip their heads in the water to take away from the itchiness of the hundreds of ticks that they have on their faces. They do look like minotaurs when you only see the head sticking out of the water.

This is one of the first photos I took that I thought was any good. It worked out great but at the time I had no idea how I'd taken it, it was a complete accident.

We organised a football match between our lodge and a neighbouring one. It was a very scenic pitch right on the edge of Lake Mburo national park carved out of thick bush. We drew 1-1 in the end.

This photo came from a recent trip to see the gorillas in Mgahinga national park. The big silverbacks were all face down passed out but this baby was the star of the show. He was really showing off! I found it quite tricky lighting in the forest so I have loads of blurry photos from that day but this one worked perfectly
